Girona is a city with a strong commercial vocation. The Old Town, the most characteristic area of the city, has a wide variety of shops and traditional businesses side by side with more cosmopolitan outlets selling prestigious international brands. The fact that many of the streets in the old town are pedestrian zones makes shopping there a quiet and agreeable experience.

The Eixample is also a very important shopping area, with a wide variety of modern and up-to-date shops, especially for clothes and complementary articles.
